THE FAMILY CAREGIVER SUPPORT PROGRAM
The Family Caregiver Support Program advocates for caregivers. It identifies gaps in service, assesses the needs of elders, and funds start-up programs to encourage each community to provide resources to meet its individual needs. It also facilitates connections to resources and education for caregivers of the elderly, grandparents raising grandchildren, and individuals with disabilities cared for by elders.
Who is Eligible?

Caregivers age 60 and older

Caregivers for elders age 60 and older

For persons with other disabling, chronic diseases of aging, when the caregiver or elder is age 60 or older

Caregivers for Alzheimer's sufferers age 55 and older

For grandparents age 55 and older raising their grandchildren

For elders age 55 and older caring for a disabled individual who is not your child.
